YG981B Series Rapid Oil Extraction Apparatus is used to determine the oil content of man-made fiber samples by rapid extrusion method. It can also determine the acetone extractable finish on nonwovens. Taking advantage of the ability of oils to dissolve in specific organic solvents, soak the sample in an appropriate organic solvent, under a certain force, the oil is dissolved in the organic solvent, which is then evaporated. The oil content of the sample is calculated according to the mass of the oil dissolved.
