Description
The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) system is used to continuously monitor a patient's nervous system during surgical procedures. It is used to assess the integrity of neural structures and consciousness during high-risk surgeries, such as neurosurgical, orthopedic, peripheral nerve, and vascular surgeries. The IOM system can be used to monitor different areas of the brain, spinal cord, and cranial nerves. The system helps surgeons prevent damage and preserve the functionality of the nervous system. The IONM program is used in various surgical procedures, including orthopedic spinal correction, cranial neurosurgery, and interventional radiologic procedures.
