Procedure to transfer QuickBooks Desktop from an old computer to a new computer:
Step 1: Backup and Install
· Save a backup of your company files and QuickBooks license on an external device.
· Install the latest QuickBooks version on the new computer.
· Download and restore the backup to the new system.
· After successful transfer, uninstall QuickBooks from the old computer.
Step 2: Restore Backup on the New System
· Install QuickBooks on the new computer.
· Connect the external device.
· Open QuickBooks, go to the File menu, and choose Open and Restore Company.
